Meatball machine is an amazing horror film. It's basically about a lonely factory worker who is beaten by an angry cross dresser and is having trouble telling the one he loves his true feelings. One night he finally gets with the one he loves, but she tells him her dark past. He doesn't mind it at all and proceeds to be with her until an alien insect takes over her body and makes her into a killing machine. Where she kills other people who have been infected by the alien and the only way he can save her is if he kills her.
Meatball machine is a very fun movie, it doesn't take itself to seriously and thats the fun of it. The monster costumes are really awesome and the gore level is high. This is a really funny movie with a great plot and great characters. The acting is pretty good most of the time although some scenes come off a little awkward but thats expected from a low budget japanese film like this. I really like the concept to the movie and how the pacing is. it's a really fun fast paces movie with almost all practical effects. No horrible cgi. This is a really fun horror movie and is definitely worth a watch. Although it does have some flaws. Some scenes are really awkward and some of the costumes look silly even though I don't think thats a bad thing, some might think it's a little cheesy to be believable.
It's very similar to films like Mutant girls squad or Tokyo gore police. With cheesy gore with loads of blood sprays and crazy effects. The film is really fun and never boring and thats what I absolutely love about it. This is an overall fun film and it's a great movie. I think if you are into splatter gore movies you'll love this movie. But If your not into anything like that then I would stay away. I would give this movie a 7/10. I love it but it's definitely a flawed film but it's a fun film.
