Martyrs is a very sad movie about two girls who grow up together in a mental institute. When they get out of the mental institute they both go out to seek revenge on the ones who torture one of the girls, Lucie. Which leads to a death of an entire family and a really sad twist for both of them. After Lucie shoots out a whole family, because the parents are the ones who tortured her. She kills her self, which leaves her friend all by her self where she is tortured until she reaches heaven. 

I know the plot is really bizarre and may be hard to follow but trust me this is a fantastic movie. It's a french film and I have always been a fan of french movies. They all have a certain style about then which I enjoy allot. This  is a really sad and depressing movie, this is not an uplifting or fun movie experience. Every time you think things can't get worse they do and thats what makes Martyrs a very effective movie. On a Technical aspect this is an amazing movie the cinematography, the lighting and the special effects are all amazing. Another thing that makes this movie so amazing is the fantastic acting featured in this move.

The reasoning behind all of the torture is to see if the person torturing them can hear of heaven. They want to torture someone mentally and physically to the point of near death so the person can tell them if there is a heaven. Which is an insanely messed up idea for a movie, but a very scary idea which makes the movie work. 

I think this is a movie that is worth a watch because it is a new fresh idea for a horror film and it is executed very well. It's a really intense movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. But I will warn you that this is not a light hearted movie at all. this film really got to me and I think I should warn you before you watch it that this is a really extreme horror film. But if you can get through that this is an amazing horror movie viewing experience and should be seen by any fan of horror and any fan of French cinema. I would give this film an 8/10 because it's very well done but is a little hard to watch at some parts.

    Guinea Pig 2: Flower of flesh and blood is a really weird movie with little to no plot. But from the movie this is the only plot I can think of. A man stalks a woman, kidnaps her and then brings her to his house. From there she is tied up to the bed and drugged so she can feel no pain, the man who kidnapped her is dressed as a pale samurai, then decides to cut of her arms and legs, It's a really weird movie. 
I was expecting more from a movie with a reputation like this one has. It's a really well known movie in the Japanese extreme horror genre and has got a reputation due to Charlie Sheen thinking it was a movie showing a real death. Even though it is pretty unrealistic and is sort of a cheesy movie. But I do understand why people give the special effects people credit for this movie because the special effects were extremely well done. They looked highly realistic. It's a shame though that the plot couldn't have been better. I found myself drifting off and not being able to pay attention because the movie was just so bland and had no entertaining qualities about it what so ever.

The plot was really bland and was kind of hard to follow because the whole movie we have no idea at all why this man is doing it to this girl. There is barely any dialogue, I think there is like two lines in the whole movie. But I have to say I did enjoy the ending because it made it look as if the guy was just going to do the same thing he did to this one girl over again which made it kind of creepy....I guess. 

Overall I thought this movie was just okay. It was kind of boring and not extremely well made. It was decent and I actually liked how the lighting and the camera looked allot. The special effects were fantastic and the acting was good, although there was barely anything to be acted out.  So I would have to give this movie a 5/10 it's a fair score for something like this. The movie isn't great but technically speaking the special effects were impressive and it had it's moments. I just wished it had a plot.

Cannibal Holocaust film review

Cannibal holocaust is one of those essential horror films that are a must see. But this is a more obscure must see due to it's graphic nature and it's horrible taboo of real animal killings. The plot is centered around a group of documentary film makers who go out into the jungle to film a tribe of cannibals. When filming them they do many cruel things to the cannibals so the cannibals fight back and murder all of the filmmakers. The footage was discovered and is being played in a studio to be ready to be put on T.V. Thats the general plot. 

It's a very interesting plot and is a really good movie. This is one of my favorite horror movies of all time. The main reasons I like the movie are that the acting is really good. The story is great and the way the filmed it. Now I hate found footage movies, the only ones I like are this one, Cannibal Holocaust and the August underground movies other then that I think found footage movies are awful and are a cop out to make money. But cannibal holocaust was one, if not the first to delve into the world of found footage movies. This film is actually scary and has a freaky uncomfortable atmosphere and the tone and the scenery really make a key part into how this movie plays out. For production values they really used locals from the jungle to play the cannibals which gave it very realistic acting which helps the film allot.

The reasoning behind this movie being such a taboo is basically because of the animal killings. In the movie they kill a small rodent like animal, a spider monkey, a turtle and a pig. Which was all extremely hard to watch. Yet another reason why this film is considered controversial is because when the film first came out, people thought it was real. The director even got arrest and held on trial until he showed them how all of the effects and gore were done in the movie. 

Overall this is by far one of the best horror movies of all time. It is definitely in my top ten movies of all time I absolutely love it, it's an amazing movie and should be called a classic in my opinion. If you are not easily offended by movies and are into the horror genre then definitely check it out. if your not into more extreme horror movies then I would stay away from this one if I were you. I would give this a 10/10 a perfect score! because I love this movie so much.

Strange Circus Film review

    Strange circus is a very odd and disturbing movie. The synopsis of this film is an erotic novelist is writing her new book which is a morbid tale of abuse. The story she is writing tells a tale of abuse, incest and murder, she has an assistant named yuji who has made it his task to find out the truth of her story. Thats is basically the main plot without any spoilers of any kind. Because if I were to spoil the movie it would be a shame because this is a fantastic movie and deserves to be seen. I really love this movie, it's very dark but also is filmed in a beautiful way which makes it very unsettling. The acting is very good and the plot is interesting and keeps you really intrigued the whole movie. This movie is very sad and depressing, it deals with allot of abuse and the horrors it can cause on someones life. 
Which makes it a really effective and disturbing film. 
The films pacing is very slow but the ending really pays up for the slow build. It was a very unexpected ending and was very shocking and gruesome. I thought that the characters were really good in the movie. The scummy father, the abusive mother and the innocent daughter were all portrayed very well in this movie. Another thing that was very cool about the movie was it's scenery the scenery was very cool and creepy especially in where Taeko writes her story and is talking to the publishers. I really enjoyed this movie and thing that it is well worth your time if you have yet to see it. I think it's a well made movie, and deserves my score of an 8/10 it's and amazing movie just a little slow in the build and a rather unsettling tale.
